Privacy
Private by design, from the first bead.

Scope
This Privacy Policy describes the HELD bracelet-making website and studio (the “Service”). Most of the creative experience runs locally in your browser, and saved bracelet designs remain on your device unless you intentionally choose to share them.
If HELD introduces new features that collect or process additional information, this policy will be updated to explain those practices before the features become available.
Information involved in the experience
Information stored on your device
When you choose to seal a keepsake, the Service stores the bracelet composition, selected intention, wrist-fit preview, piece name, reminder, and any personal bead meanings in your browser’s local storage. The current application does not transmit those saved keepsakes to HELD.
Actions you initiate
If you use “Copy summary,” your browser writes the summary to your clipboard only after you request it. HELD does not read the rest of your clipboard.
Share-card images are composed in your browser from the bracelet preview and words you choose. “Save image” downloads the image to your device. “Share to apps” asks your device to hand the image and caption to a destination you select. “Open X” saves the image and opens an X composer with suggested text; you decide whether to attach the image and publish.
The making-list form is assembled in your browser. “Open my email request” asks your device to open a prepared email containing your reply address, interest choice, bracelet composition, sizing details, and any optional note. Your reflection and personal bead meanings are excluded unless you separately choose to include them. Nothing is sent by the website; if you send the prepared email, HELD receives the information through its email provider.
Basic technical information
Like most websites, hosting and security infrastructure may process basic request information such as IP address, browser type, device type, requested page, and timestamps to deliver and protect the Service.
Optional analytics
If you choose “Allow analytics,” HELD loads Google Analytics 4. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies and process information about page views, approximate location, device and browser details, referral source, scrolling, outbound clicks, and other interactions measured by its enhanced-measurement feature. HELD uses this information in aggregate to understand visits and improve the experience. The Analytics tag does not load when you choose “No thanks.”
How information is used and shared
Device-local information is used by your browser to restore your saved keepsake on that device. Technical information may be used to deliver, secure, debug, and maintain the Service.
HELD does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Information may be processed by infrastructure providers acting for the Service, or disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect safety, or address abuse.
When you allow analytics, Google processes Analytics data as a service provider under its own data-protection terms. HELD does not send bracelet reflections, keepsake names, reminder text, or personal bead meanings to Google Analytics.
When you intentionally share or post a card, the receiving app, social platform, contact, or storage provider handles that copy under its own privacy practices. HELD cannot see which target you choose through the device share sheet.
Information you send in a making-list email is used to understand demand, reply about a possible physical piece, confirm materials and fit, and improve the future offer. A making-list request is not an order and does not authorize a charge.
Retention and your controls
Saved keepsakes remain in local storage until you delete them, clear this site’s browser data, or the browser removes them. Deleting local storage may not be reversible and does not affect a summary or share-card image you copied, downloaded, or shared elsewhere.
Your analytics choice is also stored in this browser. Clearing site data resets that choice, and the Service will ask again on your next visit.
A making-list email you choose to send is retained as ordinary business correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to respond, evaluate the pilot, maintain records, and meet legal obligations. You may reply to that email to withdraw interest or request deletion, subject to records HELD must retain.
This browser is not exposing its local saved-design count.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, and to appeal or complain about certain privacy decisions. Because the current Service does not keep server-side design records, the device controls above are the primary way to access or delete a saved keepsake. If you sent a making-list email, reply to that conversation to make a request about the information you sent.
HELD is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information. Do not submit another person’s sensitive information without their permission.
Security and changes
HELD uses reasonable safeguards appropriate to the nature of the Service, but no website, device, or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Anyone with access to your browser profile may be able to view locally saved keepsakes.
Material changes will be reflected on this page by changing the “Last updated” date and, when appropriate, providing a more prominent notice.
Contact
For privacy questions or requests, use the contact channel through which you discovered HELD. A dedicated privacy contact will be added here as the Service expands.
